Standing on God's Promises is a devotional book for women compiled by Scenic City Women's Network in 2007 and edited by Camille Platt.

 

The devotions are divided into 12 groups:

God's Presence, God's Protection, God's Power, God's Provision, God's Leading, God's Purposes, God's Rest, God's Cleansing, God's Goodness, God's Faithfulness, God's Guidance, and God's Wise Plan.

 

Several years ago I had the privilege of being on the board of the Scenic City Women's Network. I knew then that this was not an ordinary organization but one that was springing up from the hearts and minds of women in the workplace - women who knew and understood one another because they truly qualified as the great "multi-taskers" of the world. The growth and metamorphosis of the organization has been a joy to observe and now, we have a book: Standing on God's Promises. Who knew that this would occur? I love it because in this shifting, changing, rocking world, one thing is sure, unchangeable and solid - the promises of God.

 

The women of the Scenic City Women's Network have joined forces with other Chattanooga women and pooled their life adventures with the Lord, giving us this wonderful volume. (Surely, it is the first of many!) This group of women, just like you and me, "do life" every day while staying on the alert for the signs of God's faithfulness in the world around them. Their stories will encourage you and add bricks to your faith as you build a sturdy platform for standing on the Lord's sweet promises. Enjoy!
