Mimi Nikkel

Founder/Executive Director Love’s arm Outreach

Mimi Nikkel is the Founding Director of Love’s Arm. With her Board of Directors and a team of 58 active volunteers from 26 local churches Love’s Arm engages, empowers and transitions women survivors of trafficking, prostitution and addiction toward a Christ centered community of grace. Mimi encountered Jesus’ redemptive grace  in 2001 at the age of 43. She knew His call to carry the Gospel was strong upon her life and followed Him into the local jail in Birmingham, AL where He birthed her passion and love for incarcerated women lost in addiction. A survivor of childhood abuse and sex trafficking Mimi survived her own addiction and numerous incarcerations for decades and now carry’s the hope grace and unconditional love of God to others. She is a teacher, speaker and advocate for people who are marginalized and outcasts of our culture especially women and children who were sexually abused. Her life passion is to see God step into life’s curses and turn them into blessings for those He loves, His children. She is married to Steve Nikkel and together they attend New City fellowship. Mimi and Steve are blessed with two sons and daughters in law as well as three beautiful granddaughters. They have two four legged family members Nate and Dinky.
