Bio:

Barbara Woods is a Woman of God, who believes and teaches the Word of God. She is a precept Teacher and has served as a missionary to Uganda, Africa as well as Haiti, Suriname, and Jerusalem.

Barbara is a motivational speaker and has credentials from a spiritual realm and considers what she does as a “ministry”.  In her ministry, she has responsibilities that include motivating others with spiritual counseling. She has accomplished quite a few credentials to support her ministry such as receiving certificates from Henegar (formerly Chattanooga Bible Institute) in Christian Counseling, Carver Bible Institute located in Atlanta, Georgia with hours toward a certificate in Theology at Chattanooga Resource Foundation Leadership Development.

Sister Woods, as many refer to her, has served as Chaplain with the Market Place Ministries out of Dallas, Texas and the Pilgrim’s Pride Poultry Plant in Chattanooga. She has a certificate from Memorial Hospital for Cancer Residency for Clergy.

In the community, Barbara utilizes her Human Resource counseling and has served on several boards including the Bethlehem Community Center and the Southside Regional Health for Communities Board where she serves as a Health Counselor. Barbara was a graduate of Chattanooga Resource Foundation Leadership Development as well as Bellsouth where she retired with a certificate of Management.

Many have seen her throughout this city speaking and sharing her “Motivational Testimony” as a 30-year breast cancer survivor and her belief in the power of healing.

Barbara has been a widow since 2016. She had 49 years of marriage, currently serves as a marriage counselor, has two adult children, and is knowledgeable about the human aspect of having children and their dilemmas.
